The African Church is preparing itself for an important event in its history, which is the celebration of the Golden Jubilee of SECAM, to be held in 2019 in Uganda. Indeed, SECAM (Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar) was created in 1969 in Uganda. It is by essence an institution of organic pastoral solidarity.

It is with deep sadness that the Generalate community at Nocetta hears of the death of Fr Pierre Trichet.

Andrea Mandonico, SMA Archivist, Postulator, Legal Representative and Procurator to the Holy See, is also the President of the Committee for the 100th anniversary of the death of Charles de Foucauld, through which he has organized a seminar in Rome for September 10 – 11, 2016, entitled: “Charles de Foucauld: shout the Gospel with our lives”.
