The first Indian provincial Assembly kicked off on Monday 23 September 2019. Unlike the polish province, which invited all its permanent members to take part in it, Indian assembly had eight (8) delegates, three (3) Ex-Officio members, one (1) secretary and one (1) facilitator. India has also moved from being a District in Formation to a Province following the decision taken at the 21st SMA General assembly in Rome earlier this year.

Facilitated by the Fr. Valan, in the presence of the Superior General Fr. Porcellato, Fr. Trinkson Debres (c) was elected the first Provincial Superior of the Indian Province on the 27th of September 2019, and the 30th September 2019 saw the elections of Fr. Amaladass Arokiyasamy (l) as the Vice-Provincial and Fr. Joy Andrews (r), the former DF Superior, as the councilor. We wish the Indian Provincial Superior and his Council every possible blessing as they begin their mandate in the stewardship of the Indian Province.
