• Congratulations Bishop Kieran O'Reilly SMA
  More than 1,000 people participated in the ceremony at the Saints Peter & Paul Cathedral in Ennis, in which Fr Kieran O'Reilly, former Superior General of the Society of African Mission, was consecrated as the Bishop of Killaloe, Ireland. The ceremony was streamed live on the local Radio station, Clare FM.
• Archbishop of Cotonou resigns, successor appointed
  Pope Benedict XVI on August 21, 2010 accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the Archdiocese of Cotonou (Benin), presented by Archbishop Marcel Honorat Leon Agboton in accordance zith canon 401 § 2 of the code of Canon Law.
• Bishop Tim Carroll SMA honoured for promoting indigenous languages in Nigeria
  Bishop Tim Carroll SMA was honoured by the Association of Nigerian Language Teachers (ANLAT) for his great work in promoting indigenous languages in Nigeria.
• D.R.CONGO proclaimes Cardinal Joseph-Albert Malula a "National Hero"
  Archbishop Laurent Monsengwo Pasinya, the Catholic Archbishop of Kinshasa, has voiced the gratitude of the Catholic Church in Congo to the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joseph Kabila, for having proclaimed Cardinal Joseph-Albert Malula (1917-1989) a 'national hero'.
