For over 160 years, our response to the mission
has been expressed through concrete commitments:
The first evangelization is the proclamation of the Gospel to those who have not yet heard, especially the poor and most abandoned. It expresses fidelity to the charism of the Founder.
Justice, peace and integration of creation in Africa, we strive to answer questions of justice and peace, particularly by engaging with street children, former child soldiers, refugees, war displaced people, the Ebola victims and people living with HIV and AIDS.
We also keep a focus on human development through education and health. Outside Africa, we are engaged in ministry with immigrants, undocumented and campaigning for better sharing of global resources.
Ecumenical and interreligious dialogue: SMA seeks to promote dialogue and cooperation with African traditional religions and other beliefs. We seek a better understanding of Islam and evangelical Churches to work together in the service of all.
